Grammy Awards: Fun. and Gotye Big Winners
The 55th annual Grammy Awards were held last night and the big wins were spread amongst a diverse group of artists. Mumford & Sons won for their album “Babel”, while indie trio Fun. took home Song of the Year for ‘We Are Young’ and Best New Artist. Australian electronic pop artist Gotye won Record of the Year. Other big winners were rapper-R&B singer Frank Ocean and the Black Keys.
Stand out moments included a tripped out Wonderland-influenced opening performance by Taylor Swift. Tongues were wagging regarding her not-so-subtle dig at ex, Harry Styles, during the number. They were wagging, I say! It takes a brave man to date this girl, because you know you’re gonna be taken down the moment you break up.

But she dropped the bitter ex Taylor and spent the rest of the show being adorable fangirl Taylor, busting out GIF-ready dance moves all night long.

Fun. had fun (HAHA see what I did there?) during their performance, which included rain and a lead singer wearing incredibly odd skinny capri pants .

Prince was in the house. He presented the ‘Record of the Year’ award to Gotye. He also won best parody videos of the year, a tight 3-way raise between him, Psy and Carly Rae Jepsen. JK.

Justin Timberlake had a little comeback, giving a memorable retro-infused performance. Unfortunately, other members of N’Sync did not have a comeback.

My girl Kelly Clarkson did an amazing tribute to lifetime achievement award winners Carole King and Patti Page. She also gave the most charming acceptance speech of the night, the kind of speech that really makes you think you could be BFF with her. DM me on Twitter Kelly!

And Katy Perry took the Grammy dress code to heart, making sure she didn’t expose a smidge of sideboob.

Best moment: Frank Ocean beating Chris Brown (double entendre intended) for ‘Best Urban Contemporary Album’. Chris stays classy of course.

Did you watch the show? What was your favorite moment?

The news showed a bunch of footage of Taylor Swift singing along to every song and clapping like she was in a church service. So funny.
