John Carpenter’s Classic Halloween Returns To Theaters October 25th

by: on:

There have been many imitations, a bunch of sequels (some bad, some good) and an awful Rob Zombie directed remake. Here we are, almost upon it’s 35th Anniversary and the geniuses at HalloweenMovies.com, Screenvision, Compass Pictures and Trancas International Films have joined forces to bring the original Halloween back to movie theaters for a one week run starting October 25th through October 31st.

“We are thrilled to bring John Carpenter’s original Halloween back to the screen after almost 35 years,” says series producer Malek Akkad. “We are excited for fans from coast to coast to finally get the ultimate theatrical experience.”

Included in this one week run will also be an exclusive documentary short from Justin Beahm called You Can’t Kill The Boogeyman: 35 Years Of Halloween. The film focuses on the impact the film, and central figure Michael Myers, have had on culture and the horror genre.

Darryl Schaffer, EVP of Exhibitor Relations, Screenvision said: “We’re excited to bring the movie that helped define the horror genre back to the big screen for this timely exhibition.”
