Check this out. This is what I was talking about. http://cinedork.com/2012/07/17/walking-dead-season-3-preview-does-daryl-turn-zombie/
I was yelling at my TV when they took Herschel on that recon too; fail. Awesome cast guys, thanks a lot!!
I watched the video Aaron…I don’t know what is supposed to be Daryl as a zombie. I watched it twice. Is it the zombie they are holding by the arms? That zombie could have been anybody. I have no idea.
Yeah at the 3:28 mark. It’s a very Norman Reedus looking zombie….
C.J , the shot in the video happens really quick, i cant remember the time stamp but i don’t think it’s him. I think they alread showeed that shot when they were in the dark passages in the prision. It’s so fast i don’t thik people even noticed it’s already been shown. But when it’s frozen on the shot it does look like Norman Reedus. I think it was a ploy to make people talk… It worked
By the way… Aaronflux, I like your name. Thats clever. i have a few idents using Aeon “something or other” ’round. She’s still a favorite of mine even after all this time.
Really digging the new theme. I’ve actually never seen Trailer Park Boys but after such a raving recommendation I’m going to check it out. And wow, East County San Diego does NOT sound like a place I want to take a vacation in, but Resolution sounds cool. Hope it gets shown here. The Peanut Butter Burger must be a very American taste, cause I physically actually gagged just thinking about it. Ew.
This season of Dexter is turning out to be one of the best in the series. I’m very excited for what’s happening to Deb, and I’m on the group that thinks that she will end up killing with Dexter.
About Walking Dead… anybody else thinks that Carol is turning into a total badass? I love her evolution from abused housewife to fighter/healer in the group. The thing I really didn’t like (and kept arguing about with my friends for the rest of the night) is why in the freaking world would you send the doctor to help you clear out the prison (and hey, you just mentioned Carol!), especially when you are in the dark about the place, literarily and figuratively. It’s such a massively bad decision and so out of character with people that have survived for 9 months in this world that you’d think the script was written by fucking Damon Lindelof. I can deal with the writers wanting to put Hershel in peril, but that was just bad setup.
About Andrea (one of my fave in the comics): I admit she was a bit of a bore (and by that, I mean a HUGE one) on Season 2, but by the end she seemed to have found her purpose and what’s willing to do anything to survive, so I can’t help but root for her now. I don’t remember very well, but isn’t she the only surviving member of the original group that doesn’t know all survivors are infected? If my memory serves me, she had already been separated from the group when Rick made the revelation. I like this Michonne/Andrea dynamic and I want to see more. Can’t wait for them to meet the The Governor; hoping that in that setting we get to know more about Michonne’s past.
I’m having a big problem with people complaining that there are not enough zombies on the zombie show and therefore it’s a boring show. I loved what you guys said about it. Reminds me a bit about World War Z; the book is about the world’s response to a global pandemic… it just so happens that the pandemic is zombies. The heart and soul of the book does not change if zombies are removed, because it’s about the survivors. That’s what a lot of people that are complaining about the show don’t seem to get; the survivors are The Walking Dead, not the zombies.
Oh, and glad @backpackingdad mentioned the Hershel idiocy. To quote Cartman: lame!
Another great show, geeknation!
